Here’s a behind the scenes look at the creation of our commemorative print. This project has been built from the ground up which means we can give you a behind the scenes look at the making of these beautiful prints!

As with most projects, this one started with an idea and a couple of sketches:

When we started throwing around the idea of the project resulting in not a single print, but an annual collectible, we knew that we would need a consistent identity for “For the Love of Kids & Camping.” With that in mind, we developed a logo that can be used in black and white, full color, and can easily have the year added to it!

With the blessing of the Care Camps Board of Directors, we handed the project off to Joe Heins who would take the initial sketches and create a one-of-a-kind oil painting. These images take us from the stretching of the canvas to the final product.

We set up a camera towards the end of the painting processes, to give you an idea of the care and artistry that went into this painting.

And just like that (after months of work and discussions) we have the commemorative print available for purchase!
